During OCI week I had a normal interview. I remember the partner talking about differences between practicing at O'Melveny versus a previous firm that the partner had worked for. I missed an impromptu dinner that the partner scheduled in the evening with certain other interviewees--the partner left a voice message saying it was late notice so it would be understood if I missed the dinner. I also received a callback offer, near the end of OCI week as I remember. At the callback, the partner briefly greeted me. The callback interviews were generally friendly and conversational. The most hardball-type question I remember was "What makes you stand out compared to the other applicants?" I don't remember the exact date of the rejection, but I think it was several weeks after the callback interviews.
