Alston & Bird LLP (Recruiter Call)Anonymous (T40) SV office. Mostly casual interviews, although some of the more important partners had a more serious demeanor and were a bit intimidating. Litigation partners heavily value good legal writing skills. Prior relevant WE was a huge plus.

Alston & Bird LLP (Phone Screen)Anonymous (T40) SV office video conference screener. Did the screener on campus with a real video conferencing setup, not skype, appeared to have helped project more of a 'professional' vibe. Interview was very casual, not stuffy, as would be expected from a SV office but not a Southern firm.

WilmerHale (Callback)msmcc (Suffolk University Law School) I met with 4 attorneys, 2 partners and 2 associates, for 30 minutes and then met more people at the subsequent reception. One partner asked (1) about a legal issue I dealt with over the summer, and (2) how I would differentiate between the firms in making a decision.
