The firm is more formal than others in the market in terms of dress. But the staff and attorneys are very friendly.
SA work is pretty easy. They don't expect you to do a ton of assignments. Work increases a lot as an associate, but they are honest about it. They have great clients for litigation and go to trial more often than most big law firms. Corporate is growing a lot and deals are getting much bigger. They also have solid smaller groups such as advertising and tax.
As an associate you can definitely work from home if you need to. Winston and Strawn is not a facetime firm. The firm also provides health insurance, pays for phone bill, and parental leave among other things.
